Download?Download NumAnal.zip (332 kB)- A Numerical Analysis EPOC database icon DATA file. This Numerical Analysis suite of embedded documentation and spreadsheet modules, has been reorganised (new catalogue system). Mathematical and statistical tools solve problems such as the solution of equations, roots of quadratics, cubics, and quartics, convergence methods for nonlinear systems, optimization, and regression or curve fitting. Usage

Use modules in an easy stepwise fashion. For example, use the multi-variable regression as follows:-

  1. Start your letter or report in say a JOTTER file and open NumAnal (see below)
    Numerical analysis example
  2. Now type in "regress" and press the "enter" key. Highlight the multi-variable regression spreadsheet and press Ctrl-C. (see below)
    Numerical analysis example
  3. Now switch to your JOTTER file and press Ctrl-V to paste in your spreadsheet thus:-
    Numerical analysis example
  4. Double-tap on the spreadsheet icon and enter your data in the yellow data input area thus:-
    Numerical analysis example
  5. Now press Shift-Ctrl-K to recalculate the spreadsheet and pan to the end of the sheet thus:-
    Numerical analysis example
  6. Your regression was successful with a coefficient of determination of 0,996. Now view the graph of the residuals by pressing Ctrl-Q, thus:-
    Numerical analysis example

Organise your report with all this information as you please and send it off. Your client will have your work and the means of examining it in detail.
