Download MatCon.zip (34 kB zip file). This DATA file is still under development, but contains some information about corrosion types and how to select suitable construction materials that will resist corrosion in the process fluid environment.

Now type in "corrosion" and you should see the following:-

Now pan down a bit and examine the explanation of corrosion types, as below:-

and..

For the corrosion tables, load the ChemBase database and search for a table of resistance under a particular chemical name. For an example of the chemical resistance of materials to sea water click here.
